16 Days Campaign about Domestic Violence

One in three women worldwide face domestic and sexual violence every day. In Ireland, one in five women experience domestic violence during their lifetime. The 16 Days Campaign is an international campaign to highlight and combat violence against women (25 Nov-10 Dec 2013). This year the Pavee Point Violence against Women Programme focuses on increasing Traveller and Roma women and girls’ safety. To highlight the 16 Days of Action the Programme has launched information leaflets for Traveller and Roma women on ‘Keeping Safe’. The leaflets are designed for Traveller and Roma women as accessible sources of information on domestic violence and domestic violence services. You can view and download the leaflets here, or contact Pavee Point for hard copies by emailing vaw@pavee.ie
