At a European level: Pavee Point Youth Programme has become involved in a two year process which will look at best practice in engaging young Roma across European member states. Last week Pavee Point Youth Programme hosted the coordinating team from IQ Roma Service.
The Programme facilitated sessions looking at methodologies and resources used and cultivated over years of the Programme’s practice. Information pertaining to each community was highlighted in relation to equal rights, racism and protection under the law.
It was the start of what is hoped to be a long and engaging relationship, with learning and resources culminating from the exchange.
At a local level: Pavee Point Youth Programme has been involved with National Youth Council of Ireland’s Access All Areas Toolkit since its inception. As the toolkit grows in popularity and in need, the interface changes. As part of its development and to facilitate its use, a ten-part video series has been developed. These videos can be used as stand-alone resources or in conjunction with the Access All Areas Toolkit.
