The Kerry branch of Samaritans are holding an information evening on Monday 18th February 2013 in the Carlton Hotel, Tralee.
Samaritans is a registered charity which provides confidential emotional support to anyone suffering emotional distress or feelings of despair. Founded in 1953, the service aims to reduce instances of suicide by giving people a non-judgemental, anonymous space to explore their concerns and worries, through a 24 hour telephone helpline as well as by email, text messaging and face-to-face contact. The service is open to anyone who needs it – not just people with suicidal thoughts.
If you are interested in discovering more about the work the Samaritans do, and would like to find out if you can play a role in helping people suffering with emotional distress, please come to the Carlton Hotel in Tralee on Monday 18th February at 8pm.
You can find out more about the service at their website: http://www.samaritans.org/
