Of great relevance to families living close to our Tralee office is the Mitchels / Boherbee Regeneration venture. Back in 2004, this particular area of Tralee was highlighted by the community as being in need of major rejuvenation to tackle physical, social and economic difficulties that had built up over the years.
Since 2008 the local community has worked with various agencies to plan and initiate a regeneration of the locality. This has involved the improvement of housing facilities, the establishment of physical activity programmes, the creation of community allotments and several other schemes.
The Mitchel/Boherbee Regeneration Steering Committee continues to implement the regeneration plan with the consultation and participation of the local community. The photos below demonstrate some of the great work that has been done to date. For more information on the regeneration, visit the plan’s website at http://www.mitchelsboherbeeregeneration.com/.
